While some people don’t like the monochrome look of the new iTunes, they used it to their advantage here. The red really stands out against the rest of the icons to alert you that your rental is about to expire.
Another Move
So after a bit of work on my old website, I’ve decided to move to Tumblr. I signed up for an account when Tumblr was young, but just didn’t use it very much. The old Triff Design blog resided here as well, but I took that down once the rest died down.
The main idea behind my last website revamp was to facilitate use. But I found I still didn’t use it that often. And while I wanted the capabilities of a hosted Wordpress blog the main fact is that I didn’t want to manage it and it seemed like I’d always want to write big posts rather than a quick blurb.
So out of all that comes a new website. Tumblr also provides an iPhone app and post by email, so here’s hoping I use these to get some extra content up. I’ll probably be putting up a custom theme soon enough, until then I found this one by Bill Israel (link in the footer).
